Hi Brides!

We are now announcing our new website, along with the launch of wedding and engagement services in Boise, Idaho. As you may know, we still offer all services in Florida. Some latest news from the industry is the introduction of the Digital Matted Album (DMA) from GraphiStudio.  We do have samples of these beautiful books. The matted albums are a new twist to the traditional matted wedding albums.

With new printing techniques, we are able to use spot varnish to bring texture variations to a page. Most of the page is matte, but design elements and images are glossy, making the DMA a unique wedding book. GraphiStudio has also expanded the cover and spine options for this line. Your choices are endless, as you can combine any cover with any spine design. These new albums also allow for vellum pages to be added as an extra deluxe feature. The DMA comes in a beautiful custom storage box.

Our Florida spring season has been very busy. Catie is working hard to make sure everyone is happy and we are using DropBox for our file transfers. Along with file sharing, this also provides a back-up storage system for us until the files are processed and stored permanently in our system.

That is the latest news. Have a great early summer!

Putting together a wedding can be one of the most exciting yet stressful events of your life, and with so

much to do, it will probably seem overwhelming at first. From hiring a Sarasota wedding photographer

for your destination wedding to finding a vendor that can meet all your wedding day requirements, the

process may take months or even up to a year or more, depending on the size of your event. As you

browse vendors and choose your locale, there are several questions you need to ask in order to ensure

you’re hiring the right business for your needs and so that everything will go as planned on the big day.

Photographers: Do You Carry Liability Insurance?

This is one of the most important questions you can ask your photographer, since he or she will be

present at the wedding for the duration and accidents can happen. Whether someone trips over a

camera tripod or the photographer accidentally backs into another vehicle after leaving the venue, he or

she needs to carry insurance in order to protect themselves and their clients. If the photographer you’re

considering cannot provide you with proof of liability insurance, you need to pass on them because

you’re putting yourself at risk by having them at your wedding. When searching for photographers, look

for the phrase “fully licensed/bonded and insured” on their website and then be sure to ask them how

much insurance they carry and what it covers.

Caterer: How Long Have You Been in Business?

When it comes to choosing a caterer, you might be better off choosing one that has been in business for

some time. Not only will you benefit from their experience, but you will be able to better take

advantage of what others have said about them. A new catering company isn’t likely to have many

public reviews written about them and as a result, it’s like rolling culinary dice. While not all new

catering companies are terrible ones, when it comes to catering a wedding, it’s always a better choice to

go with a company that has experience with serving large groups of people. The greener a catering

company is, the less experienced its employees are, so there is a higher the risk that something will go

wrong. However, if you’re planning on having a small, intimate wedding, then going with a new caterer

may be less of a risk and might even allow you to save money.

Venue: What Charges Are Included?

When you’re browsing venues, it’s important to ask each business representative what is included in the

wedding packages they offer. For example, if you’re getting married in the lavish courtyard of a

beachfront hotel and then having your reception in one of their ballrooms, will you have to pay

separately for each event, or do they have all-inclusive packages available that might help you save

money? It’s also important to discuss taxes, fees, and what’s not included in the wedding packages you

choose, as you will have to include money for a band and for reception décor if the venue you choose

does not supply them.

DJ/Band: Do You Have a Demo Tape or References Available?

The music you play at your wedding reception can make or break the mood, so you’ll want to choose

your options carefully. Some people simply opt to take advantage of today’s technology and create a

playlist that they can play over a pair of speakers, but others prefer the sound of a live band. If you

choose a live band, ask if they have a demo reel you can hear and if they’ve ever played a wedding

before. Not all bands have wedding experience, so you may want to choose one that knows the ropes

and is used to the kind of atmosphere you’d find at a wedding reception. The more questions you ask as

you plan your wedding, the better prepared and more relaxed you’ll be on your big day.

Summary: From hiring a Sarasota wedding photographer for your destination wedding to finding a

vendor that can meet all your wedding day requirements, planning a wedding may take months or even

up to a year or more, depending on the size of your event. As you browse vendors and choose your

locale, there are several questions you need to ask your vendors in order to ensure you’re hiring the
